Xandros CoreOS is a complete command line focused Linux system that removes a lot of overhead that is provided by traditional desktop environments.
Xandros CoreOS 2023.07 while not a desktop system can be best described as a utility OS. This makes it ideal for users who want to deploy the following services:

With Xandros CoreOS 2023.07 you have two install options. You have the normal install which does include a windowing environment, i3, and contains the following features

With the minimal install it takes out all the GUI components. With the minimal install you have:
- Linux kernel 6.2
- OpenSSH Server and Client
- Cockpit Remote Administration
- Bash and Powershell
- .NET 7
- GCC
- Clang Compiler Suite
- GNU Midnight Commander
- Ranger file manager
As this is an early Alpha build we do not recommend that you deploy this in any kind of production environment.
Xandros CoreOS will be free to download, use and redistribute but with the finished product you will be able to add Xandros CoreOS to your support subscription.
